RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS)

≈ HK$425,000 / year (incl. travel)24 months + optional 12-month extensionNominations due late October

Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the JRFS, a prestigious fellowship that supports 60 early-career researchers in each yearly round.

The regular deadline falls at the end of October each year. Eligibility requires a PhD conferred within roughly the past three years, or completion by the round's cutoff. Please contact us well before the deadline so we can prepare a strong nomination together.

What we look for

A PhD in machine learning, computer science, or a closely related field, or in a scientific domain with strong AI experience.
A strong publication record at venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or KDD, or high-impact domain journals.
The ambition to lead a research direction, mentor students, and build open systems that outlast individual papers.
